Behind the Scenes

Ruta reached out a week after our first session for her family in Ben Thanh market (see photo results in my blog here). She was heading back to her home country for a summer break and wanted to capture her incredible body before that (we all know that you can't really control your diet when you go back to your favorite food at home). 11 weeks before that, Ruta decided that she want to see more results from her fitness lifestyle, so she focused on building that muscular body with a strict diet and professional training schedule.

This was an exciting experience for me as a photographer, as I haven't shot low-key photos yet, and very much appreciate Ruta's trust in me. We found a studio in Saigon and after some research on lighting setup, I was ready to do it! The photo session went effortless for me because Ruta is so amazing and her incredible body shape showed up with key lighting exactly how we wanted it to.

Except for the portraits (where I just slightly smoothed lights and shadows), all photos published below have zero Photoshop and with my author's Lightroom presets.
