CAPTURING A UKRAINIAN-VIETNAMESE BEAUTY IN HANOI
I had the incredible opportunity to capture the beauty of Maryna in a stunning photoshoot in the heart of Hanoi. Maryna's mother is from Ukraine and her father is from Vietnam, so it was only fitting that she wore the traditional Vietnamese ao dai, a conical hat, and carried a bouquet of flowers to add a touch of Vietnamese aesthetic to the photos.
As a portrait photographer based in Ho Chi Minh City, I was thrilled to hear that Maryna would be in Hanoi during the same time I was traveling there. Believe it or not, but we are both from the same hometown of Kharkiv. It was truly amazing that our paths crossed again, but this time thousands of miles away in Vietnam! As a result, we created some magic through this special photoshoot.
We chose the beautiful Hoan Kiem area as the location for the shoot, where Maryna's stunning beauty shone like a diamond. Her mix of Ukrainian and Vietnamese heritage was captivating, and people couldn't help but turn their heads to admire her as she walked along the streets.
